GS-JJ Sinosauropteryx Dinosaur Custom Enamel Pins
1.75" hard enamel lapel pin, die struck
with gold finish.
In 1996, Ji Qiang, director of the China
Geological Museum discovered dinosaur fossils in the Jehol Biota in western
Liaoning, China. The dinosaur has a short primitive feather and has the
characteristics of a dinosaur and a bird. He thought it is a transitional
animal between dinosaurs and birds, then named it "Sinosauropteryx",
which was later confirmed by scientists as a small carnivorous
dinosaur. At the 110th Anniversary Celebration of National Geographic
magazine, President Clinton held the latest issue of National Geographic
magazine with a picture of the tail bird restoration, praising the Chinese
dragon bird, the original ancestor and the tail feather bird as one of the most
important scientific discoveries.
